Women’s Bible Studies

TUESDAY MORNINGS:

10:00-11:30 am in the Great Room

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS:

6:30-7:30 pm beginning in August

GROW Ministry

The heart of GROW is to see women become firmly rooted in God’s Word and flourish in the life Jesus has called them to. Mentoring relationships can be rich soil for such growth. Women who are further along in their spiritual growth and life experiences come alongside younger women who are seeking wisdom and support in their walk with God.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

    1. To grow relationships between spiritually older women and spiritually younger women for the purpose of discipleship and mentorship.

    2. For women to grow in obedience to God through the spiritual disciplines of prayer, studying the Word, and service to others.

    3. For women to grow in their knowledge, dependence, and application of God’s Word in their lives

    • Meeting twice a month with your mentor/mentee from October to April

    • The mentor and mentee will decide what their time together will look like based on goals for growth that the mentee has.

    • Mentors may choose one of two training dates. If you are not able to attend one of those dates, reach out to one of our team.

    • Mentees and Mentors will be matched by the Women’s Mentoring team and pairs will be revealed at the Mentoring Gatuer and GROW Day on October 4th at 4 pm.

    • A growing follower of Christ

    • An active member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church

    • One who agrees with Travis Avenue’s Doctrinal Statement located at: https://www.travis.org/what-we-believe

    • Experience with being a mentor or being mentored in the past

    • Approved by the Women’s Mentoring Ministry Team

  • Any woman seeking to grow in her walk with God alongside a more mature woman.

    • We would love for you to join our ministry and continue that relationship as one of the pairs.

    • You may indicate this in your application.

Travis Women’s Christmas Tea

Sunday, December 6th | 3PM - 5PM

We’re looking for Table Hostesses!  You’ll have the opportunity to bring your own style and creativity to your Christmas table as we welcome Travis Women to an afternoon of celebrating the birth of our Savior.  If you are willing to host a table, please submit your information below and mark your calendar for a Table Hostess information session immediately following worship on Sunday, October 25th in the Parlor.  Until then, if you have any questions, please email women@travis.org.
