Ministry Team Service RallyYou can now join any of the ministry teams (formerly service committees) of our church by simply volunteering. Here's how: On January 29, 2012 at 6:00 pm, all church members are cordially invited to attend our Ministry Team Service Rally. The rally will be held in Dining Room A of the South Complex. There, each Ministry Team will have a manned information table, much like a Job Fair. Come, visit at each table, choose a team to get involved with, and then attend your team's first meeting of the year. It's just that simple! You can join a team right on the spot. Refreshments will be served and a special gift given to each participant. |

Marriage Enrichment MonthFebruary is Marriage Enrichment Month at Travis Avenue. Our theme will be Marry Me...All Over Again, as we encourage couples to focus on growing strong marriages. Every Travis couple will have the opportunity to take the Couple's Checkup Survey, produced by Prepare/Enrich. (You'll find a link to this survey here.) This instrument helps couples identify what they are doing well in their marriages and where they can improve. Additionally, watch for other events and activities designed to help couples continue developing marriages that are strong, satisfying, and that honor Christ and reflect Him to others around us. |

A2CA2C 2012 Spring Semester February 12 – April 29 The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. As the New Testament church started, the new believers caught on very quickly that they needed other believers. The Christian community at Travis is no different when it comes to this need. A2C Groups provide a place for Travis members and friends to meet for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, encouragement, accountability, and ministry. The groups will initially be formed though the Sunday Morning Bible Study organization, and will be facilitated by a host family. After A2C groups launch on February 12, each group will decide when and where they will meet, with each session lasting approximately an hour and a half. Each week the groups will be given a short discussion guide based on the previous Sunday morning’s sermon. If you would like to host an A2C group, or to register, please contact the Discipleship Office at 817.924.4266 Ext. 211. |
