Good News Cruise - A Children's Musical

Don't you just love a good celebration? We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, even victories at sporting events! But the greatest reason to celebrate is Jesus Christ! Come join the Travis Children's Choirs on the S. S. Good News as we celebrate the abundant life found only in Jesus. We cast off on Sunday, May 18, at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. You'll have loads of musical fun sailing on the Good News Cruise!

Christian Early Learning Center - Registration In Progress for 2008-2009

In the Fall of 2008, we will offer a two-day a week early learning program for preschoolers ages eight weeks through PreK. Children will engage in age appropriate, multi-sensory activities designed to provide enriching social experiences, foundational educational preparation, and spiritual foundation building. Click here to download the 2008 Registration Packet. Reserve your child's spot by returning the completed packet to the Church Office as soon as possible. Discipleship Opportunities

Parents of Preschoolers - Sundays, 9:30 am, Lower Sanctuary in Room S30. This ongoing Bible Study class is geared toward Young Married couples with preschoolers and/or young children. It focuses on forming a biblical vision for the family and outfitting parents with a toolset for intentional spiritual leadership in their home. Facilitated by David Booth (Family Ministry; Preschool & Discipleship Associate).

Hearing God - Wednesdays, 6:30 pm, WC-201. This will be an ongoing Wednesday evening Bible Study option for adults. Led by Dr. David Downey, it will focus on hearing and experiencing God through prayer, the Bible, and even our circumstances. Although this study is geared for young and median adults, it is open to anyone who is interested.

Travis Gospel Concert

Join By His Grace (Travis ladies' trio), The Weatherfords, The Splawns, The Shilohs, and Patsy Bellington for another inspiring Travis Gospel Concert on Friday, May 16. The concert begins at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Don't miss this great evening of gospel music.

Fellowship Golf Tournament

Grab some friends and join us at the first Fellowship Golf Tournament of the year. The golf tournament is set for May 31st at Southern Oaks Golf Club in Burleson, TX. We will tee off at 8:00 am. Cost will be $50 (includes green fee, cart, lunch and prizes). Deadline to sign up is May 25th. You can also pick up a brochure in your Bible Study class. PraiSingers Concert - Let's Sing the Old Songs

Join the Travis Avenue Baptist Church PraiSingers as they step back in time with a fun-filled musical presentation, Let's Sing the Old Songs. There will be singing, audience participation and an old-fashioned ice cream social to boot. Mark your calendars for an exhilarating evening of pure entertainment on Sunday, June 1st at 6:00 pm in the South Complex. Come on out, and Let's Sing the Old Songs.
