Disciple U

Beginning in February, Travis Avenue Baptist Church will start discipleship classes called Disciple U on Sunday nights at 6 pm upstairs in the Welcome Center. Dr Kevin Kennedy will lead in The Doctrine of Salvation, Dr Craig Blaising will lead through the Psalms, both studies beginning the 14th. Dr Jason Deusing will lead The Life of David beginning the 21st.

Denim and Diamonds
2010 Ladies' Spring Retreat

This year’s Travis Ladies’ Spring Retreat, Denim and Diamonds, is scheduled for March 5-6 at the Marriott Alliance Hotel. Susanna Foth Aughtmon, author of All I Need Is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans, will be the featured speaker. Be prepared to dress in your favorite denim and add some bling! Registration will be held this Sunday, February 7. Make plans now to attend.

Man Of God

Beginning February 10, a new men's Bible study led by Dr. Michael Dean will be held Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15 in Welcome Center 201-204. A Chick-Fil-A meal will be provided for $5. The study will be from the book, A Man of God, by Jack Graham. What does it mean to be a Man of God? Come hear this straightforward instruction about God's requirements to follow Him and how that involves integrity, family, and ministry. Bring your friends to this exciting study for men of all ages.

Thursday Ladies' Bible Study

The Thursday Ladies’ Bible Study has begun its new semester! Our study is on Priscilla Shirer’s latest book, One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land. Priscilla is the daughter of Dr. Tony Evans, Pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. Want to study God’s Word with humor, candor, and forthright understanding? This is your chance! Ladies' Tuesday Evening Bible Study

Travis’ Tuesday Evening Ladies’ Bible Study will continue its winter session with a new book by Beth Moore. Breaking Free: Making Liberty in Christ a Reality in Life leads you through a study of the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. Based on Isaiah 61: 1-4, this in-depth study draws parallels between the captive Israelites and today’s believers. The group meets at 7:00 pm in the South Complex Dining Room. Tuesday Morning Ladies' Bible Study

The Ladies’ Tuesday Morning Bible Study resumes this Tuesday, January 26, 2010 with Beth Moore’s new course entitled Inheritance. This nine-week DVD series is a topical examination of inheritance throughout God’s Word. Sessions begin at 9:30 in WC 201-205. Heart of the Home

Heart of the Home is a Wednesday night offering from the Travis Women's Ministry designed for young women. The group meets weekly at 6:15 pm in Room B-110. Jan Smith will serve as facilitator.
