In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus commands his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I shall be with you always, to the very end of the age.” At Travis Avenue, our goal is for Bible Study to be a member-led movement to fulfill this Great Commission.
Our Bible Study groups are designed to provide a place where each individual feels welcome and accepted, can grow spiritually through the intentional, systematic study of God's Word, and then be motivated to reach out and invite others to join and participate. Through this 3-Dimensional focus, our classes become more than just a group of friends, they become Great Commission teams.
Members of a 3-D Bible Study Group are on mission together to
- Create a safe and welcoming environment that encourages members to invite others to Jesus and the fellowship of His followers.
- Provide small group experiences where people can discover the great truths of the Bible and the faith stories of believers.
- Help everyone connect with Jesus and the mission of his church through fellowship and ministry.
In an effort to help our adults invite, discover, and connect more effectively and meaningfully, our Sunday Morning Bible Study Groups are centered around life stages. We invite you to discover the group that is the best fit for you and connect with us as we endeavor to be obedient in fulfilling the Great Commission. |
