Travis Avenue has many opportunities for adults to be involved in Bible study and fellowship together.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
There are Sunday Morning Bible Study classes for adults of all age groups. These classes provide a place to develop relationships with other church members and study God's Word together. There are classes specifically focused on various life stages including Young Married Adults, Contemporary Adults, Singles, and Legacy and Senior Adults. Visit us at the Welcome Center on Sunday or call the church office to find out about the classes we have available.
Call of the Wild Men's Ministry
The Call of the Wild Men's Ministry seeks to provide a place for men to join with one another for prayer and Bible study. This includes a weekly prayer meeting on Tuesday mornings, Sunday Morning Bible Study Class, and annual Call of the Wild Game Banquet. Visit the Call of the Wild Facebook Page for more information.
Heart to Heart Women's Ministry
The Ladies’ Ministry at Travis Avenue equips women of all life-stages to be confident in their knowledge of God’s Word as it applies to their thinking and decision making. Bible Studies, events with purpose, fun times of fellowship, and opportunities for service build unity of purpose as we serve Christ in our families and communities. For more information about this ministry, email Karen Sanders, Minister to Women, or visit the Heart to Heart Women's Ministry Facebook page.
Legacy and Senior Adult Ministry
Welcome to the Legacy and Senior Adult ministry of Travis Avenue Baptist Church. You will find a joyful mixture of active adults aged 60 and above who are busy serving the Lord and enjoying fellowship in a variety of ways. We have a large group of Legacy and Senior Adults and would love for you to join us.
The Bible often points to older adulthood as a source of wisdom. Our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents have purchased a heritage with their faithful lives and examples through the years. They have received this heritage from the Lord and stand ready to pass along that heritage to the generations to follow.
Our adults are active and energetic, serving in a multitude of ways including our senior adult choir (The PraiSingers), monthly lunch gathering (That Thursday Thing!), Homebound ministry, and more. Contact Wes Black, Minister to Legacy and Senior Adults, for more information.
