September 30, 2012 “Hazardous Material”

Sunday, September 30th, 2012

ILLUSTRATION – I don’t mean to scare you with this outfit.  Hopefully you will never be in a situation where you have to be around first responders who are wearing a hazmat suit like my friend is wearing today.  Whenever you see a first responder, like a fireman, wearing a suit like this you know that some hazardous materials have been released.  This suit is supposed to keep the fireman from being exposed to the hazardous materials.  But it is to keep him safe while he is hopefully able to do something about it … to eliminate the threat. September 23, 2012 “The Message of Reconciliation”

Sunday, September 23rd, 2012
Open your Bibles to II Corinthians 5:16.  As you’re turning I want to let you know that on Sunday, October 7, we’ll be having a combined worship service.  It will be an exciting time as we share the Lord’s Supper together.  We’ll have parent/child dedication for about 15 families.  And I’ll have a challenge for us that day as we begin our intensive preparations leading up to the start of our new West Building.  Now let’s look again at a passage we’ve turned to repeatedly over the past few weeks to get us focused on “Reaching Your Circle.” (more…)

September 16, 2012 “Christ’s Ambassadors”

Sunday, September 16th, 2012

Let’s open our Bibles once again to II Corinthians 5:16. During these days we’re focusing on and equipping for “Reaching Your Circle.” Many of our A2C groups are focusing on this, as well as a class on Sunday nights at 6pm. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to sharpen your tools for sharing Jesus Christ with others. To keep it before us visually we’re also providing you with a simple circle to keep in your wallet or purse or Bible. It will help you pray and think about those in your circle of relationships that God wants to reach through you. (more…)

Sunday, September 9th, 2012

Let’s open our Bibles to II Corinthians 5:16-21.  Over the next three weeks we’re going to take this passage of Scripture and turn it around and around to view it like the precious gem that it is.  There are many facets to this gem and I want you to value the truth that is contained in these amazing verses.  And from these verses I want to challenge us about the way we see the people who are all around us every day … people who are in our circle. Following Jesus in Life

Saturday, September 8th, 2012

As Jesus approached His crucifixion,  He explained to His disciples what it would mean for Him.
