October 10, 2010 “Till He Returns”

When you reject the God of the Bible you’ll only find meaning in sensuality. When this world, for however long you live, is all that you have, then you live for pleasure. You eat for yourself. And you pray to yourself. You love for yourself. Why not?

In I Peter we have been learning that God calls us, as His people, to a different kind of life … a life with a great sense of urgency to it.

    Dr. Michael Dean has been the senior pastor at Travis Avenue Baptist Church since 1991, having also served churches elsewhere in Texas and New Mexico. He and his wife Nan are blessed with two married children and two grandchildren. With a keen sense of calling to shepherd the flock of God entrusted to his care, Michael longs to see people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
